The logical scale of the device to be used has not yet been determined, but it is necessary to proceed with the board design ahead of the development schedule. Are there any risk-free procedures?

board design

In our FPGA lineup, we have products with different capacities in the same package. For details, please check the pinout of each package, but many packages are pin-compatible and can be migrated. You can consider a large capacity first and reduce the capacity if necessary.

However, be careful if you have high-speed I/O or clocks, tight internal timing requirements, or use hard macro features. As a pre-board design, assuming that common pins are used for all packages that may be migrated, use a preliminary design to ensure that there are no errors in specific pin placements such as clocks and macros, and that timing requirements are met. It is recommended to check in advance.

If you design the board without considering the fitting, there is a risk that problems such as inability to pinout or failure to meet timing requirements will appear later in the design phase, so please be careful.
