I installed Diamond and put the obtained license.dat file in the license folder, but I get an error when starting Diamond.

Diamond license

You should check your Windows environment variables.
Check the value of "LM_LICENSE_FILE" included in "System environment variables" at the bottom of the window opened by Control Panel → System → Advanced system settings → Environment variables.

・The storage folder and name of the updated "license.dat" must be correctly described in the variable value.
・The variable value must not contain unnecessary characters, double-byte characters, spaces, etc.

is required.

Diamond also has a license debugger feature. A "License checkout failed" pop-up appears if the license file cannot be read when starting Diamond. In the "License Debug" tab of the License Debugger that launches when you click the OK button, you'll see the expected and found strings (no matches if no license found). The "License Information" tab shows the referenced license file name and directory as listed in the Windows environment variables. With this information, you can easily determine if the directory (or environment variable) where the license file is located is correct, or if the contents of the license file are what you expected. You can also browse and specify the location of the license file, which can help you troubleshoot.

If this does not solve the problem, please check again if the license type (Node-lock or Floating) was selected correctly when installing Diamond.
