When I assign LVDS_TX pins to dedicated pins on the Quartus II Pin Planner, I have a hard time placing them while looking at the pop-up display. Is it possible to display just the LVDS_TX pins for clarity?
Tools: Quartus® II
First, display the differential pin pairs on the Pin Planner.
View menu ⇒ Show ⇒ Show Differential Pin Pair Connections
Next, if you double-click HIGHlight Pins ⇒ Differential Pins ⇒ Differential Output with SERDES from the Tasks pane, only the differential output pins will be highlighted in black and lightly colored on the Pin Planner.
(Here, each time you double-click again, the color changes.)
To remove the black border, uncheck DIFF Output with SERDES in Pin Characteristic Reports from the Report pane.
* You can also clarify the LVDS_TX pins within the corresponding bank by using it together with other identification (eg I/O bank).
