How do I generate a JDI file?
Quartus Prime
Tools: Quartus® II
A JTAG Deugging Information (JDI) file is generated by running the Assembler.
For factors that do not generate even if compilation is executed, check whether "Run Assembler during compilation" is checked in the Quartus II Assignments menu ⇒ Settings ⇒ Compilation Process Settings column.
If this is not checked, no JDI file will be generated even if Assembler is executed.
