Debugging features on Nios II have software breakpoints and hardware breakpoints. What is the difference between the two?
Nios II
Software breakpoints are the ability to set breakpoints on instructions residing in RAM.
Hardware breakpoints are the ability to set breakpoints on instructions in non-volatile memory such as flash memory.
