What is the role of the direction register in the Register Map in the PIO of the Nios II peripheral?
Nios II
It is used in the bidirectional mode of PIO, and if it is 1, it will be an output, and if it is 0, it will be an input.
Accessing the direction register has no effect if the PIO is used in input mode only or output mode only.
