Use the CRC ERROR pin. How do you set pin constraints (I/O standards, etc.)?
Quartus Prime
Enter "~ALTERA_CRC_ERROR~ " (where ~ is part of the name) in the Node Name field of the Pin Planner to constrain it.
When using the CRC ERROR function, it is necessary to turn the CRC function ON (default is OFF).
The setting method is shown below.
- From the Quartus II Tool bar, select Assignments ⇒ Device
- Click Device and Pin Options...
- Select Error Detection CRC from the Category column
- Check Enable error detection CRC and click OK
If you execute compilation again, it will be assigned to the dedicated pin.
