I need to fix an old project and I don't know what version Quartus II was using. Is there a way to find out?

I believe you have *.qsf files in your project folder.
If you open this file with a text editor, you will find "ORIGINAL_QUARTUS_VERSION" and "LAST_QUARTUS_VERSION".

"ORIGINAL" is the version you used when you created the project, and "LAST" is the version you used when you last compiled.
