There is no difference in the outline of the operation sequence, but there are differences in the detailed sequence and data path due to differences in selectable options such as burst length, etc., in order to support functions that have been added and changed in DDR3 in the standard.

For example, a sequence corresponding to Burst Chop 4, a leveling circuit, and a deskew circuit will be added.
Due to the additional circuitry, there are also changes in the calibration sequence.
