What is the difference between the Nios II IDE and the Nios II SBT (Software Build Tool)?
NiosII IDE was originally based on the concept of being “easy to use by hardware designers”, but SBT is based on the concept of “an integrated development environment that is conscious of Embedded”. Therefore, SBT is an integrated development environment that allows you to perform all Nios II software development tasks such as program editing, building, and debugging.
It will be integrated into SBT in the future, so we recommend switching to SBT as soon as possible.
