Intel: What is the functional difference between WAKE# and Beacon used for PCI-Express power management?

◆ WAKE# : WAKE# is directly input to PMC (Power Management Controller) on Root Complex side.

◆ Beacon: A WAKE# is input to the Switch device, and depending on the WAKE# being asserted, the Switch device
generates a Beacon signal that propagates to the PMC on the Root Complex side.
