Intel: Can Triple Speed Ethernet connect with a SGMII capable PHY?
Yes, Triple Speed Ethernet (TSE) supports SGMII motes and can interface with PHYs with SGMII interfaces.
When creating a design with the MegaWizard Plug-In Manager, from the "Core variation" pull-down menu,
・ 10/100/100Mb Ethernet MAC with 1000BASE-X/SGMII PCS
・ 1000BASE-X/SGMII PCS only
You have to choose either.
Note, however, that the 1000BASE-X PCS/SGMII only setting cannot be selected when using SOPC Builder and instantiating the TSE feature.
