EDA language simulator tools (except ModelSim-Altera Edition and ModelSim-Altera Starter Edition) require Altera megafunction libraries to work with HDL files generated by the MegaWizard Plu-In Manager. The library (source) is stored in the \\QuartusII installation directory\eda\sim_lib directory.

It is necessary to create a library and perform mapping operations in the EDA language simulator tool for the source. For the operation method, please refer to the manual of the EDA language simulator/tool you are using. Also, please refer to the library name displayed in Simulation Libraries in the EDA tab (Step 2) of the MegWizard Plug-In Manager to determine which library to use.
