Intel: In the Fitter ⇒ Resource Section ⇒ All Package Pins item of the compilation report, the PIN Name/Usage column says “GND+” or “GND*”. What does this mean?

Shows how the Quartus II handled unused pins during compilation.
GND* : Connect to GND with unused I/O pins or leave open
GND+ : Connect to GND with an unused input-only pin
It is necessary to design the board according to this indication.

Attributes of unused pins can be changed by Quartus II settings.
