When using Signal Tap (formerly SignalTap II) or Signal Probe with Quartus® Prime Lite Edition or Quarus® II Web Edition, you can use it by enabling the TalkBack function.

By enabling the TalkBack function, information such as resource utilization, I/O pin utilization, and the OS you are using will automatically be sent to Altera from the compilation results.
But don't worry, we won't send you design files such as RTL.

Follow the steps below to enable the TalkBack feature. After setting, restart Quartus® Prime / Quarus® II.

1. Select Options from the Tools menu
2. Select Internet Connectivity in the Options window
3. Click TalkBack Options
4. Enable Turn on the Quartus II software TalkBack eature in the TalkBack Options window

Note that the TalkBack option has been removed from Quartus® Prime Lite Edition v16.1 onwards, so this setting is no longer required. [TIPS]
