device:-

Using a FIXED license with a T guard key type results in the following error:

▼ For Questa* - Intel® FPGA Edition
# ** License Issue: License request for intelqsim feature failed
# ** License Issue: Invalid host.
# ** License Issue: Cannot find license file. (C:\flexlm\license.dat)
# ** Error: Failure to checkout 'intelqsim' license feature.

▼ ModelSim* - For Intel® FPGA Edition
# ** License Issue: License request for alteramtivsim (or alteramtivlog) feature failed
# ** License Issue: Invalid host.
# ** License Issue: Cannot find license file. (C:\flexlm\license.dat)
# ** Error: Failure to obtain a VHDL (or Verilog) simulation license. Unable to checkout 'alteramtivsim (or alteramtivlog)' license feature.

Starting with Questa* - Intel® FPGA Edition and ModelSim* - Intel® FPGA Edition 2019.3, we have already dropped license support for the T guard key type. Therefore, it cannot be used even if the license period is under maintenance.
To use these versions, either change the ID associated with the license to the NIC type, or use the free license type Intel FPGA Starter Edition.
When changing the primary computer type to NIC ID, if the license rehost count is 0, it cannot be changed.
