- Set to Tools menu > Edit Preferences > By Name tab and expand "Main" from Preference Item.
- Enter the absolute path of the startup file of the external editor in the field of Change Main Preference Value, which is started by double-clicking the lower "Editor".
3. Enter the edit command in the Transcript window and specify the file.
Example) edit ./filtref.vhd
4. The specified file will be launched in an external editor.
Alternatively, you can specify the file from File menu > Open, open it once with the built-in editor, and then execute Source menu > Open in External Editor to display it in the external editor.
