Intel: I'm using the PDN tool on my Cyclone® V to study the power supply.

Category: Power consumption
Tools: Others
Device: Cyclone® V

For example, in the case below, a core voltage of 1.1V means that the allowable voltage range is 5% for a load (current) fluctuation of 50%.
・Dynamic Current Percentage: 50% ⇒ Load current fluctuation: When 50%
・Default Voltage:1.1V ⇒ Core voltage value 1.1V
・Die Noise Tolerance: 5% ⇒ Allowable up to ±5% variation

The VCC variation tolerance in the PDN tool is a dynamic tolerance.
Please note that the VCC fluctuation rate tolerance on the datasheet is the static tolerance.

(See Recommended Operating Conditions for Cyclone V Devices)

From note (2)
The power supply value describes the budget for the DC (static) power supply tolerance and does not include the dynamic tolerance requirements.
Refer to the PDN tool for the additional budget for the dynamic tolerance requirements.
