Intel: What is the Multiple Port Front End (MPFE) weighting for the Hard Processor System (HPS) SDRAM controller?
Category: SoCs
Tool: SoC EDS
Device: Cyclone® V
There are two types of prioritization: absolute priority per port (8 levels) and relative weight per port. .
"Relative weight per port" results in underweight round robin scheduling when ports have the same priority.
After editing the following file generated by the Preloader Generator, it is possible to generate the set Preloader by making the Preloader.
Below are the standard MPFE settings when generated with v18.0.
file name:
<Project>\software\spl_bsp\generated\sdram\sdram_config.h
#define CONFIG_HPS_SDR_CTRLCFG_MPPRIORITY_USERPRIORITY (0x0)
#define CONFIG_HPS_SDR_CTRLCFG_MPWIEIGHT_0_STATICWEIGHT_31_0 (0x21084210)
#define CONFIG_HPS_SDR_CTRLCFG_MPWIEIGHT_1_STATICWEIGHT_49_32 (0x10441)
#define CONFIG_HPS_SDR_CTRLCFG_MPWIEIGHT_1_SUMOFWEIGHT_13_0 (0x78)
#define CONFIG_HPS_SDR_CTRLCFG_MPWIEIGHT_2_SUMOFWEIGHT_45_14 (0x0)
