Intel: Is it possible to variably control the oscillation frequency in units of 100Hz using the Frequency Modulation input using the NCO IP?
Category: DSP
Tools: Quartus® Prime
device:-
As long as the setting and input correspond, it is possible to change the frequency with the input value.
However, since the accuracy is determined by the reference clock and the frequency divider, it is essential to make decisions based on the required accuracy (tolerance).
As stated in the user guide, the resolution M of the accumulator of the Modulation input gives the frequency accuracy fres = fclk/2^M, so it depends on the accuracy of fclk and the choice of M.
