It can be run using the Nios® II command shell.
Navigate to the nios2eds folder inside the Quartus® Prime installation directory using a Linux command line terminal.
Then type ./nios2_command_shell.sh and run it to launch the Nios® II Command Shell and use commands such as sof2flash.
