You can select internal or external supply for the reference voltage supply of the ADC block in MAX 10 devices.
The external supply scheme is the external ADC_VREF pin on the MAX 10 device as the supply pin.
The internal supply method generates the reference voltage inside the MAX 10 device.

The selection of the supply method can be selected by Reference Voltage Source on Altera Modular ADC IP Core (IP core of ADC block).
