Mpression Odyssey: FPGA-based Personality buttons do not work for a short time after loading. Please tell me how to resolve.

When FPGA-based Personality is selected, the first thing the Odyssey kit does is load (program) the FPGA, after which the buttons become available. We recommend that you wait without touching anything during this time.

In this programming, the FPGA file (JBC file) is transferred to the FPGA via the JTAG port by software called JAM Player, which runs on the Silicon Labs EFM32 microcontroller on the Sensor board. This process currently takes about 12 seconds.

This process is requested when Personality is selected, pauses for 3 seconds before starting, then JAM Player starts programming and the LED lights up. When the LED turns off after 12 seconds, FPGA programming is complete.

For Personalities that load non-volatile FPGA files (.pof based), this load time can be extremely long, taking up to 3 minutes.
The development team is currently working on this load time reduction. An improved version will be distributed in future updates.
