First, the PC's COM settings must be set correctly in the Tera Term settings menu.
In many cases the default settings are not correct for the Odyssey kit's menu mode to work. Follow the steps below to check the device manager on your PC and set Tera Term correctly.

Setup menu > Terminal > pull down "New-line "Box on the upper right: Select Receive=LF or AUTO, Transmit=CR, press OK.
To save this setup, select Setup menu > Save setup.
In some cases it may be a good idea to back up the INI file before saving the settings.

In addition to setting manually by the user, there is also a method of setting using the Tera Term initialization file (.ini) prepared here. This .ini file is located in the installation folder containing the Tera Term executable file ttermpro.exe. (often C:\Program Files (x86)\teraterm)

The .ini file for Odyssey can be downloaded directly from the Odyssey software download page.
The setting is completed by replacing the downloaded file with the original file.
(Move the original file to another location and use it as a backup)
