Is it possible to reduce the Quartus II compile time with PC settings?

By turning off the CPU's Hyper-Threading function (a technology that makes the number of CPU cores look like the number of threads), you may be able to shorten the compile time.
This feature is only valid for Intel CPUs and is normally ON.
It can be changed from the BIOS of the PC, but there are some models that cannot be changed, so please check.
