Compiling with a MAX 10 device 10M02 as a target results in an error. Please let me know how to avoid this.

Error (12629): This specific device does not support memory initialization or ROM for Internal Configuration mode. Remove memory initialization of atom "rom_top:inst|altsyncram:altsyncram_component|altsyncram_0fq3:auto_generated|ram_block1a6".

The target 10M02 (a device with a logic capacity of 2,000 LE) cannot have an initial value in memory.
Possible workarounds are:

  • Delete the initial value files (HEX files and MIF files) allocated to the internal memory.
  • Select 10M04 or higher device.
