It is assumed that the software folder exists directly under the Quartus® II project, and the Nios II application project and Nios II BSP project to be imported exist directly under the software folder.

First, start the Nios II SBT and set the software folder to workspace.
Once the Nios II SBT has started, select File menu ⇒ Import. In the dialog that appears, select General ⇒ Existing Projects into Workspace and click Next.
When you specify the software folder in Select root directory, the Nios II application project and Nios II BSP project will be displayed in the list, so check both and press Finish.
The import is successful if the Nios II SBT's Project Explorer reflects the Nios II Application project and the Nios II BSP project.
