Analog Devices Surge Stopper : How should the OUT pin be handled when the overvoltage detection function is not used in the LT4356-1?
Connect the OUT pin to the output (MOSFET source) even if the LTC4356-3 output overvoltage clamp is not used (FB pin tied to GND). The reason is to clamp the MOSFET gate voltage so that it does not exceed the output voltage of 14V.
