Analog Devices RF Agile Transceiver : How do I set it up to use the internal temperature sensor of the AD9361?
The internal temperature sensor value of the AD9361/AD9363/AD9364 series can be read using the auxiliary ADC (AuxADC) over SPI.
To configure the part in temperature sensor mode, the AuxADC must be configured using the ad9361_auxadc_setup function.
Then read using the ad9361_get_temp function. To prevent conflicting features from interfering, it is recommended to disable the auxiliary ADC pin measurement feature when using the temperature sensor feature.
Due to the usual inaccuracy of the internal temperature sensor, it is recommended to perform an averaging over several calibrations. Please also refer to this application note.
