A fixed output of 4.8V or less, such as a 4.2V output, can be generated by providing an external resistor as shown in Figure 55 on page 16 of the datasheet (replacing 5V in the equation with a fixed output voltage, set the resistance value). However, please note that not all LDOs support this usage.
