Analog Devices LDO : Does the ADM7172 have backflow prevention?
The ADM7172 does not contain a reverse current blocking diode (function).
Although there is some current limit, a reverse current of several mA may occur through the Body Diode of the P-ch MOSFET inside.
In addition, since the rated voltage of the VOUT pin is -0.3V to the VIN voltage, if the input voltage drops suddenly, a diode should be placed between VIN and VOUT to prevent reverse current flow or to release the charged output charge to the input. It is recommended that you put it in
