Analog Devices Automotive Audio Bus (A2B): What functional differences does the AD2428W have compared to a typical RS485 transceiver?

audio/video

A typical RS485 transceiver only realizes "logic level and transmission signal conversion", but an A2B transceiver is a composite device that implements multiple functions as shown below.
- "LVDS Transceiver" x2 pairs (up/down)
- "Line diagnostic function"
- "LDO" x2 pairs (generate 3.3V and 1.9V from 9V)
- "PLL" (generate operating clock from SYNC or A2B line)
- "I2S/TDM/PDM I/F"
- "I2C I/F"
- "Controller" (Sequencer that keeps constant operation according to I2C settings)
