What does ECO mean?

Quartus Prime

ECO is an abbreviation for Engineering Change Order.

In a typical project cycle, the specifications for the programmable logic portion may change after the project has started or during design integration.
Changes made in the final stages of design are generally referred to as ECOs, and they represent minor changes to design features that are made after full compilation.

Programmable logic offers flexibility in accommodating changes to system specifications later in the design cycle.

Chip Planner is one feature that effectively supports eco-friendly practices.
