Altera: Is there a way to add missing device family information (device specific files) after installing Quartus® Prime?
Tools: Quartus® Prime
In addition to the full installation, Quartus® Prime can be installed for a limited device family.
You can also install additional device-specific files after installing Quartus® Prime.
Here are the steps:
1. If you do not already have the specific file (.qdz) for the device you need, download the qdz file for the device family you want to add in advance.
The qdz file is Download page for your Quartus Prime edition and version From the [Individual Files] tab
Please download and get it.
2. Launch Quartus® Prime.
3. Choose Tools>Install Devices.
4. The installer will start. Follow the wizard and specify the folder path where the device-specific files (.qdz) you want to add are saved.
5. Follow the wizard to begin the installation.
6. Restart Quartus® Prime after the installation is complete.
