Wurth Elektronik eiSos is now offering wireless charging and design kits compliant with the Qi standard in the medium power range.
This kit, called “WPC 15W kit”, was developed in collaboration with Japanese IC manufacturer ROHM Co., Ltd. It is readily adaptable in the design of wireless power products, allowing developers of products requiring wireless power to configure fast "plug and play" solutions.
The kit consists of a transmitter module, a receiver module, and an LED module, and includes a quick start guide and a power adapter for each country.
Applications for mid-range wireless power transfer are expected to develop in markets such as smart phone and tablet charging, medical and industrial mobile terminals, and devices with many mechanical charging cycles for plug-in connectors.
Wurth Elektronik eiSos and ROHM's “WPC 15W kit” meet Qi standard 1.2 with extended power profile. With this kit, customers will be able to expand the application field of wireless power transfer and provide new applications.
