5G-NR (New Radio) and Sub6
Communication methods such as 5G, 4G, and LTE are called mobile communications, and the wireless communication mechanism that provides 5G radio waves is called 5G-NR (New Radio). There are two types of radio waves handled by 5G-NR: "Sub6" and "millimeter waves." Sub6 is used to mean frequencies below (sub) 6GHz. Sub6 uses frequencies of 3.7 GHz and 4.5 GHz, which are similar to LTE, so the characteristics of radio waves are similar to LTE, and it can be used with the same usability as LTE. In addition, radio waves reach a wider range than millimeter waves and have the advantage of being able to reach obstacles easily.
