Winning adoption of Driver Monitoring System "AIS" for additional vehicle models from existing customer — estimated sales of 50 million Swedish Kronor (SEK)
Gothenburg, Sweden, April 30, 2025: Smart Eye, a global leader in Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS), announced that it has won a new order for its AIS products, a complete driver monitoring system with integrated hardware and software designed for small volume OEMs, commercial vehicles and the automotive aftermarket. The customer is a European premium sports car manufacturer that has decided to use Smart Eye's technology in their premium SUV models.
AIS is powered by Smart Eye's proven automotive-grade Driver Monitoring System (DMS) software, already installed in over 2 million vehicles worldwide. By combining this with Smart Eye's proprietary new hardware, AIS provides an end-to-end driver monitoring system designed to detect driver behavior. Built with AI-based algorithms, the system helps improve overall road safety by detecting early signs of driver drowsiness or distraction. New vehicles equipped with Smart Eye's AIS system are expected to enter production in the second half of 2025.

Smart Eye currently has a total of 365 product wins with 23 automotive OEMs. Estimated revenues from these existing wins over the product lifecycle are currently over SEK 86.6 billion. Cumulative revenues including potential additional wins with all 23 companies are estimated at SEK 55.7 billion.
