Si827x is SKYWORKS' lineup of high CMTI performance isolated gate drivers.
When increasing system efficiency by increasing switching speed using high-speed devices such as GaN and SiC, high CMTI characteristics that do not malfunction due to sudden fluctuations in common mode voltage are essential characteristics. The Si827x offers industry-leading noise immunity (200KV/us) and latch-up resistance (400KV/us).

- Delay Time is as low as 30ns (typ), 45ns (typ) even with the diglitch filter option
- High-precision timing control, including DT (dead time control), maximizes system efficiency and safety
- Using the EN pin instead of the DIS pin provides a safe default state
- Wide range of 3, 5, 8, 12V and UVLO voltages available
- 8pin SOIC(1ch), 16pin SOIC, DFN-14 and small package lineup

We collaborate with GaN manufacturers to create and evaluate reference designs using actual GaN devices for many models, speeding up their introduction to the market.

Product lineup
Dead time function
For PWM control type models such as Si8274, DT (Dead Time) can be set with a single resistor.
Drivers other than the Dual type have overlap protection to prevent VOA and VOB from turning on at the same time.
In addition to this, DT is a function that takes into account the delay time of the power transistor and turns off the output for a certain period of time so that the upper and lower outputs do not turn on at the same time.
diglitch filter
An optional model has a built-in glitch removal circuit. Noise below a typical 15 ns is ignored and does not pass through the IC.
Evaluation Board
Easily evaluate the Si827x family with the Si8273 evaluation board.
The board includes screw terminals for quick evaluation of key parameters and also provides test points for direct connection to the designer's system.

In actual layout, it is most important to place power devices and drivers as close as possible to minimize ringing in the drive path and noise on the VDD line. Also, be careful to keep parasitism to a minimum. (See datasheet)
