Transmissive photointerrupter

Product Summary

An optical switch that detects the presence or absence of an object by blocking light, and can be used in a wide range of fields such as position detection and rotation detection.

Product features

A transmissive photointerrupter (transmissive photosensor) has a detection function by arranging a light-emitting element and a light-receiving element facing each other in a single package, with a sensing object blocking the light between them. Unlike mechanical switches, non-contact switches (non-contact optical switches) do not wear contacts and are highly reliable.

A GaAs infrared light emitting diode with high output and long life is used as the light emitting element, and a single phototransistor or photo IC is mainly used as the light receiving element.
