Powerful chipset delivers 98% efficiency in a compact, thermally efficient package

Power Integrations has announced a doubling of the output power of its HiperLCS™-2 chipset on March 5, 2025. Featuring advanced half-bridge switch technology and innovative packaging, the new devices can deliver up to 1650 W of continuous output power with over 98% efficiency. Targeted at industrial power supplies and chargers for e-scooters and outdoor power tools, the new family members' high efficiency and high integration levels improve reliability and dust- and moisture-resistance by reducing enclosure volume and eliminating the need for vents and fans.
