InnoMux-2 receives safety certification in major markets around the world

Power Integrations' new InnoMux-2 family of switch-mode ICs, which enables independent control of up to three outputs in a single-stage flyback design, has achieved safety isolation certification from the four major safety agencies worldwide. These achievements underscore Power Integrations' commitment to pioneering innovation while maintaining high standards in product safety and quality.

InnoMux-2 ICs integrate AC-DC and subsequent DC-DC conversion stages onto a single chip, significantly reducing component count and PCB area. They also significantly reduce the energy losses associated with subsequent DC-DC stages in traditional multi-output power supplies. These innovative devices leverage PI's safety isolated communication technology, FluxLink, to transmit feedback information across the safety isolation barrier without the use of slow and unreliable optocouplers. This proven technology meets major global isolation standards, and InnoMux-2 is certified for:

InnoMux-2 allows power system engineers to rethink power circuit topologies and design DC-DC stages into the main power system topology. InnoMux-2 devices have been tested for certification in major global markets, giving engineers confidence in the system-level safety of their power supplies.

The high voltage InnoMux-2 devices integrate a 750V PowiGaN primary-side power switch with zero-voltage switching and synchronous rectification.
