A combination of BLDC motor hardware and software reduces power consumption to less than 10mW in inverter sleep mode and extends output power to 1HP

Power Integrations announced today that it has enhanced its hardware and software bundles for brushless DC motors (BLDC) with BridgeSwitch™-2, a new family of high-voltage integrated half-bridge (IHB) motor-driver ICs targeting applications up to 1 HP (746 W).
