It integrates a 1:2 HDMI™/DVI demultiplexer that supports HDMI™ 1.4b or DVI display interfaces. Uses active buffers in DDC signaling multiplexers by default (reprogrammable via I2C control mode).

PS8431
HDMI™ 2.1 12Gbps 2:1 multiplexer with jitter cleaning. It supports input Fixed Rate Link (FRL) signals up to 12Gbps on 4 lanes and supports programmable equalization and jitter cleaning. It is HDMI™ 2.1 compliant and operates in fixed rate link mode with fixed link rates ranging from 3Gbps to 12Gbps. It functions as a 2:1 multiplexer and allows dynamic port switching through GPIO control or I2C programming.
We employ a DDC channel interception scheme to facilitate FRL link training and adjust parameters based on the intercepted data. Both FRL and TMDS operations have jitter cleaning modes to improve output jitter performance. It also provides programmable receive equalization to compensate for signal loss, supports feedforward equalizer for source channel compensation, and offers various FFE modes. The device ensures flexible power management with automatic power-down and squelch functions.
