PS8580/PS8581

A unidirectional 4-channel linear redriver that supports PCI Express® (PCIe®) Gen5 with data rates up to 32.0 GTps. Additionally, PS8580 with integrated 2x2 crossbar switch supports multiplexing, demultiplexing, or interoperation. Ideal for applications incorporating high lane count PCIe® bus widths, such as workstations and enterprise data center systems including storage and servers. The extremely low power consumption of PS8580 and PS8581 reduces overall system power consumption and reduces heat dissipation for mobile applications.

It also eliminates unnecessary signal distortion that can induce errors in physical interface losses such as PCIe® interconnect cables, PCB traces, and connectors. Additionally, it increases data transmission reliability, enables longer PCIe® interconnect cables and PCB traces, and enables system scalability. In a typical application, PS8580/PS8581 are used in pairs, one for the downstream PCIe® channel and the other for the upstream PCIe® channel.

PS8936

A bidirectional 16-lane retimer (using 32 total data channels) that supports PCI Express® (PCIe®) Gen5 with data rates up to 32 GTps. It supports low latency and is ideal for applications incorporating high lane count PCIe® bus widths, such as workstations and enterprise data center systems including storage and servers. The ultra-low latency feature also enables support for CXL 2.0 Alt mode, which enables memory sharing to improve performance, reduce software stack complexity, and reduce system cost.

As a retimer, it also eliminates unwanted signal distortion that can induce errors due to crosstalk, system noise, or physical interface losses such as PCIe® interconnect cables, PCB traces, and connectors. This device increases data transmission reliability, enables longer PCIe® interconnect cables and PCB traces, and enables system scalability. An integrated AC cap on the transmitter lane helps customers save on BOM costs, and an embedded MPU provides a robust way to monitor link status.
