Parade's high-performance gaming Tcon supports HDR and variable refresh rate, tuned for content creators and gamers.

San Jose, CA: October 10, 2024, Parade Technologies, Ltd., a leading supplier of high-speed interface, video display and touch controller ICs, has announced a series of new eDP Tcon devices developed for high-performance PC gaming applications. The DP826 supports resolutions up to WUXGA 360Hz, the DP827 supports resolutions up to WQXGA 240Hz and the DP828 supports resolutions up to UHD 144Hz.
The DP828 supports UHD (3840x2160) displays at refresh rates up to 144Hz, while its derivative DP828A supports 2880x1800 and 3000x2000 displays at refresh rates up to 180Hz. It supports GPU brand specific variants such as Intel IDT (Intelligent Display Technology), LOBF-Link Off Between active Frame, AMD Freesync Premium Pro, Freesync Replay and Freesync Fast Transport, Nvidia G-Sync and DDS (Dynamic Display Switching), and supports 30-bit input and global dimming for DisplayHDR 400 performance. The DP828 offers eDP1.5 functionality including Panel Replay (PR), a feature recommended for use with Panel Self Refresh, Early Transport and other advanced features. It accepts up to four lanes on the eDP interface with link rates up to 8.1Gbps (HBR3). The DP826 and DP827 offer the same feature set but for applications with higher refresh rates and lower display resolutions.
