As the introduction of network-connected IoT devices continues, there is an increasing need for security measures for these devices.
There are various security risks associated with IoT devices, and to counter these risks, it is necessary to implement high-performance security functions in the small microcontrollers that control the IoT devices.
However, in small, low-power IoT devices, it can be difficult to install processors that consume a lot of power in order to implement high-performance security measures.
As shown in the figure on the right, the SE05x enables secure communication via I2C and processes high-performance security functions, making it an ideal device to add to low-power, small IoT devices.
IoT device security risks: "Cyber attacks," "data leaks and privacy violations," "botnets, ransomware and other malware," "denial of service such as DDoS attacks," "product malfunctions caused by remote operation," and "intellectual property (IP) theft."
