System-On-Module (SoM) dramatically simplifies design and procurement
■ Three recommended points
- No need for high-speed processors, DDR memory, or wireless circuit design
・Pin-compatible module lineup makes it easy to scale up and down in performance and price
・Multiple BOMs can be consolidated into one point, and small lot orders can also be accommodated.
■ Overview
A System-on-Module (SoM) is a compact computer module that contains the processor and the minimum necessary components such as power supply and memory.
As processors used in embedded devices become more powerful and multifunctional, developing computer boards in-house is extremely difficult, making it difficult to bring products to market at the right time and at the right cost. However, System-on-Module based development can solve these problems!
For wireless functionality, we also offer an option that includes highly reliable, certified Wi-Fi functionality.
This seminar will introduce the benefits of module-based development by explaining the features of Variscite's System-on-Module (SoM) product lineup and its main devices, the NXP i.MX processor, and the Murata Manufacturing Wi-Fi module.
