Microchip MOST/INICnet Product Overview

INICnet ™ (Intelligent Network Interface Controller networking) technology is Microchip's "highly efficient in-vehicle infotainment networking" solution.

INICnet greatly simplifies in-car infotainment system construction by "supporting Ethernet, audio, video and control data over a single cable."
It can also comply with MOST and ISO 21806. INICnet also enables seamless transfer of Internet Protocol (IP)-based data communication between zones and domains, as well as efficient transfer of audio and video data, which is why it is widely adopted in in-vehicle infotainment systems.

INICnet technology supports data transfer rates of 50Mbps over UTP and 150Mbps over coaxial or optical cables, and is equipped with optimal interfaces to suit a wide range of in-vehicle infotainment applications.
