What is Timberwolf?

Microchip started the voice business in 1973 and focused on echo cancellers in the 1990s. The Timberwolf platform will be Microchip's third generation of high-performance audio processing devices. It also enables Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) assistance from a distance by making full use of functions such as echo canceller, noise canceller, and beamforming that have been cultivated so far.

It also allows you to build your platform without using a language, allowing you to get to market quickly.

Timberwolf Features

Timberwolf features include:

A DSP is installed inside the device, and various functions can be supported by replacing the firmware provided by Microchip.

Target application

Timberwolf devices are capable of both receiving and transmitting control, and are capable of clear voice processing even during double talk (two-way conversation). Therefore, it is an ideal device for various applications that require sound, such as IoT, home security, and wearable devices.
