XO3 series

Product Summary

The XO3 series consists of two types: XO3LF with built-in configuration memory and XO3L with built-in configuration memory (NVCM) with rewrite limit. Since the C series has a built-in regulator, 3.3V single operation is possible (3.3V can also be supplied to the core voltage Vcc). The E series is a series that can achieve even lower power consumption, and we have prepared a wide range of series according to the application.

In addition, the I/O part has a built-in block dedicated to differential I/F, and although it is a small FPGA, it is good at high-speed transmission I/F, and is suitable for interfaces in a wide range of fields such as LVDS, MIPI, Sub-LVDS, etc. It is possible to correspond. . The MIPI I/F supports up to 900Mbps/lane, and is widely used in mobile and consumer systems. Unlike the XO2, the package lineup is mainly BGA type, and is recommended for applications that require a smaller package.

Installed hardware and functions

CFM (FLASH memory for configuration)

The XO3LF series has built-in FLASH memory for configuration. There is no need for an external FLASH, and a single chip enables immediate startup in the order of several ms. It is also possible to update the configuration data (field update) from the host CPU, etc. via I2C or SPI.

NVCM (Non Volatile Configuration Memory)

The XO3L series has a built-in NVCM with a limited number of rewrites for configuration. It can be used for applications that do not require rewriting. . XO3L and XO3LF are pin compatible, so it is possible to use XO3LF for evaluation and move to XO3L for mass production.

EBR (Embedded Block RAM)

The XO3 has a built-in memory made up of hard blocks called EBR. With a capacity of 432kbit, it is possible to configure functions such as a simple data buffer without using the user logic area.

internal oscillator

The device has an internal oscillator that can generate clocks from 2.08 to 133MHz. Therefore, it can be used for detection of asynchronous signals, LED control, etc.

gear logic

The XO3 has built-in serial-parallel and parallel-serial circuits called gear locks for differential signals. 1:2, 1:4, 1:7, 1:8 gear logic is built in, so it is possible to support differential I/F of various protocols. With these Box, it is possible to support differential I/F up to 800Mbps per lane in spite of being a small device. . (There is also a model number that can support up to MAX 900Mbps/lane only for MIPI I/F.

Multi-Voltage I/O

XO3 can receive signals of different voltages in the same BANK, which is very convenient in cases where the number of pins is insufficient due to BANK voltage dependence, or pin assignment is not possible.

Hysteresis function

The XO3 has a hysteresis function for all I/Os. Settings can be changed programmably for each I/O. This function is particularly in high demand in industrial equipment applications and noisy environments.
